Join CA State Parks, the Tijuana Estuary, SWIA, WiLDCOAST and Surfrider San Diego for a massive cleanup effort at Border Field State Park right next to the border where most of the trash carried by the rains finds its way before entering the ocean.
Sat. 10/20 Cleanup & Storm Drain Stenciling Day at Dairy Mart Rd, 9am-12pm
Join WiLDCOAST, I Love a Clean San Diego, REI, New Ocean Blue and San Diego City Councilmember David Alvarez for the last cleanup of the month and help remove as much trash as possible before the rains start!!
In addition to cleanup, volunteers can also stencil storm drains through a program coordinated by Think Blue and I Love A Clean San Diego. Volunteers will paint a pollution prevention message above storm drains in nearby neighborhoods to remind passersby to be responsible when disposing of their litter and other potential pollutants.
Volunteer Appreciation Party!! Immediately following the event we will host a volunteer appreciation party for all the volunteers who participated in Tijuana River Action Month’s activities. Hosted at the Tijuana Estuary visitor’s center volunteers can join in on the fun! Prizes, food and drinks to be provided!! Free Entry to all TRAM Volunteers!
